Beauty exists in everything and everyone, and this is what I am trying to convey.
My name is Christian Granum, and I am a photographer based in Tokyo, mainly focusing on portraits. A portrait is, for me, the only way of truly showing the beauty that exists in all of us, from the stranger walking the streets, to the hard-working musician that pays his rent with broken guitar strings and sweat.
I mainly shoot with a digital Leica rangefinder, although I sometimes try to break up the routine by shooting with an old Nikkormat film SLR. I believe in using a simple set of gear and a limited number of lenses (I currently only use 35mm and 50mm), but I am always interested in trying new equipment whenever I get my hands on them.
